The Kansas Aviation Museum is formally announcing its new event series: Third Thursdays. The events will vary, but the focus is on fun events that are great for the whole family.

There will be a public debut for the new John F. Kennedy Air Force One exhibit during the Cockpit-Fest USA and AVSIM simulation convention to be held at the Kansas Aviation Museum, 3350 S. George Washington Blvd., Wichita,KS 67210.

On Saturday, March 16th, 2013 from 10am to 5pm, the Kansas Aviation Museum opened the new Boeing: Science, Math and History Learning Center, an interactive center that features flight simulators, a weather station, educational learning stations, each with a wide array of education related software, play area, a mock control tower with live radio connection to a Cessna 210 simulator and much, much more.

Over the past 20 years, Kansas Aviation Museum staff, board members and volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure the preservation of Kansas and Wichita aviation heritage.

The Kansas Aviation Museum is set to host its annual Spring Break Aviation Camp starting Monday, March 19 and running through Wednesday March 21, 2012

From Monday, December 26 through Sunday, December 31 from 10am to 5pm, the Kansas Aviation Museum will be host to the worlds only public access B-52G Simulator.

Famous Kansas aviators Clay Lacy and Ken Collins have confirmed they will be attending this year's Kansas Aviation Museum Gala.

The Kansas Aviation Museum, in partnership with the Orpheum, Mid-Continent Airport, GoWichita, McConnell Air Force Base, Tallgrass Film Festival, KPTS, the City of Wichita Arts and Culture Division and the Wichita Aero Club, announces the 1st Annual Wichita Aviation Film Festival to be held on Saturday, August 13th in support of the Wichita Flight Festival.

Within five years of the Wright Brothers 1903 flight at Kitty Hawk, Kansas sought to enter the air age with craft of their own design.

The Kansas Aviation Museum is in the Terminal and Administration building of the former Municipal Airport in Wichita.

The Kansas Aviation Museum has been engaged in a phased capital campaign for approximately five years, with Phase I—the exterior restoration of the historic terminal—complete and work ongoing on subsequent phases that will secure 16.74 acres to the north of the facility, complete interior restoration of the building, construct new restoration and display hangers and upgrade the museum grounds.
