Saturn V Rocket Launch
Relive the liftoff of Apollo 13 as you watch the launch of a scale model of the Saturn V and hear the actual audio footage of pre- and post-launching
activities . Free event (weather permitting) at Gowans Stadium.
10:00 A.M.
Apollo 13 Mission Control Live Presentation
Come and experience a round-table discussion moderated by noted space author Andrew Chaikin with many of the famed Apollo 13 Mission Control staff including Flight Directors Gene Kranz, Milton (Milt) Windler, Gerry Griffin, CSM EECOM, Sy Liebergot, Ed Fendell INST/COMM, Jerry Bostick Flight
Dynamics, CapCom Jack Lousma, and Guenter Wendt. Admission will be $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under. Tickets on sale to the public March 5. Stop by our call to purchase your tickets!
6:00 P.M.
Apollo 13 Gala Dinner – SOLD OUT
A gala dinner featuring guest speakers Apollo 13 Astronauts James Lovell and Fred Haise, and NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz will be held in the
Cosmosphere’s Main Lobby. Several other astronauts, including Apollo 12 Astronaut, Alan Bean, and Mission Control Flight Directors and Controllers from Apollo 13 will also be in attendance.
8:30 P.M.
Apollo 13 VIP Event – SOLD OUT
The evening will conclude with a VIP reception in the Hall of Space Museum’s Apollo Gallery where the Apollo 13 capsule, Odyssey, is exhibited. At this
private event, guests will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with James Lovell, Fred Haise and Gene Kranz in front of Odyssey. This reception
requires an additional ticket.
